Semaglutide

Semaglutide is a remarkable pharmaceutical agent that has gained widespread attention for its versatility in addressing various health concerns. Originally developed as a medication for managing type 2 diabetes, Semaglutide has since demonstrated its effectiveness in other areas, such as weight management. It belongs to a class of drugs known as GLP-1 receptor agonists, which work by mimicking the action of a hormone that regulates blood sugar levels.

By stimulating insulin release and reducing glucagon secretion, Semaglutide helps lower blood sugar in individuals with diabetes. Semaglutide is a member of a class of drugs that have been used for diabetes management for over a decade - GLP1-RAs (glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists). The weight loss effects of these agents have been known for some time; however, semaglutide appears to be the "best-in-class" GLP-1 RA for weight loss and was recently approved for weight loss by the FDA.

IS THERE ANYONE THAT CANNOT TAKE SEMAGLUTIDE

There are rare situations where semaglutide is contraindicated. Patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or in patients with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2) should not take Semaglutide.

HOW IS SEMAGLUTIDE ADMINISTERED?

It is a once-weekly subcutaneous injection. While some of you may be afraid of injections, these are actually quite straightforward injections with a VERY SMALL needle into the abdominal area (like insulin injections). There are big advantages to the once-weekly dosing - you don’t have to remember your medications and the semaglutide is working 24/7 suppressing your appetite without the stimulant effects of typical weight loss medication.

This medication works in the same capacity as Semaglutide.  Tirzepatide, brand name Mounjaro, is also a member of a class of drugs that have been used for diabetes management for over a decade - GLP1-RAs (glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists). The weight loss effects of these agents have been known for some time.

DOES TIRZEPATIDE HAVE SIDE EFFECTS

Tirzepatide may have side effects, but research has shown that these effects are less than Semaglutide. Most common side effects are: nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach (abdomen) pain, headache, tiredness (fatigue), upset stomach, dizziness, feeling bloated, belching, gas, stomach flu, and heartburn. Note that most of these are manageable by proper dosing and some overlap with the intended effect of "feeling full"

Lipotropic Injections

(Lipo Mino)

What are Lipo Mino Injections?

Lipo Mino injections are a combination of lipotropic compounds, which are substances that help the body break down and remove fat from the liver. The most common lipotropic compounds used in Lipo Mino injections are methionineinositolcholine, and vitamin B12. These compounds work together to stimulate the liver and help it process fats more effectively, leading to weight loss.

Lipo Mino injections are typically administered in the intramuscular such as the thighs, buttocks, and upper arm. The injections are given directly into the muscle tissue, which is absorbed into the bloodstream and delivered to the liver.

Weight Loss

Lipo Mino injections promote weight loss by stimulating the liver to metabolize fat more efficiently. This can help reduce excess body fat, leading to weight loss.

Increased Energy Levels

Lipo Mino injections increase energy levels by providing the body with the nutrients it needs to function correctly. A lack of the necessary vitamins and minerals may lead to deficiencies that negatively impact your energy levels; by restoring these nutrients you can achieve increased energy levels and improved quality of life.

Improved Liver Function

Lipo Mino injections improve liver function by providing the liver with the nutrients it needs to function correctly. These lipotropic compounds are essential for the basic processes through which the liver breaks down fat. Without them, fat will build up in the liver, leading to life-threatening issues like cirrhosis.
